Multilingualism

We prepare our students for an international future. We offer a multilingual curriculum with immersion in both English and official languages and with classes offered in French, German and Chinese. To complement our school-based language programme, students are invited to participate in international events, exchanges and trips to a variety of overseas destinations.

STEAM: Science and arts

Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) competencies are key to the integral development of children: they provide enormous cognitive and personal benefits, in addition to enhancing their communication skills. Music, arts and expression play a leading role in our educational project thanks to our link with the Conservatory of the Liceu of Barcelona and comprehensive arts, dance and public speaking programmes.

Shaping the world

Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. Our mission is to prepare them for jobs that have not yet been created, for technologies that have not yet been invented, and to solve problems that have not yet been anticipated. Globeducate Platinum Standard

Our Teachers

A dedicated teaching team

At Globeducate we believe that the entire educational community should have the opportunity to learn and improve, including our teachers who participate in regular training days and workshops on topics such as Emotional Intelligence, New Technologies and Classroom Management. On a recent training day, the teaching staff at Agora Barcelona International School took part in a workshop entitled “Impact in the Classroom” providing teachers with a range of additional techniques to make a greater impact on pupils’ learning experience in the classroom.

Another Globeducate initiative involves the training of Mentors. Our Mentors provide support and advice to other teachers and colleagues, encouraging their professional development. Globeducate also implements a teaching and learning quality control system entitled, Globeduate Platinum Standard, a systematic process of development, assessment, support and improvement to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning are maintained across the entire Globeducate group.

Globeducate Platinum Standard

The Globeducate Platinum Standard is a school improvement framework implemented throughout all our schools. It is designed to improve the overall performance of each school and ensure educational excellence. It has been developed by researching best practices from education systems around the world and relates both to educational excellence and to the core principles and values of the Globeducate group.

It is based around a set of quality indicators which help to:

Assess standards and quality of the education in each school and across the group.
Recognise key strengths in each school and across the group.
Identify areas in which the quality needs to be improved.
Identify priorities for each centre and establish an improvement plan.

In order to assess the quality of each school and identify areas to improve, five key areas are evaluated:

Effectiveness of Leadership and Management.
Quality of Learning.
The Globeducate Mission and Value Proposition.

The Platinum Standard provides a mechanism for assessing the educational quality in each of the Globeducate Group’s schools and creating strategies for growth and improvement in all areas of the school’s educational provision.
