Sport plays a fundamental role in forming well-rounded students. Not only does it improve their physical skills and fitness, it teaches the ethics which are implicit in good sporting practice. Core values such as respect, effort, tolerance, cooperation, discipline, perseverance and teamwork all form a part of your child’s development via our physical education programme. Highly qualified professionals provide the expertise needed for our students not only to improve their individual physical skills and fitness, but also to become great team players.
Agora International School Barcelona boasts a magnificent multi-use sports facility and a great sports club, accommodating the needs of each sport offered by our centre. Our facilities include two grass football pitches, basketball and handball courts, two padel courts, one tennis court, an indoor multi-sport centre and a 25-metre indoor swimming pool.
Pupils choose from a wide range of sports on offer, including basketball, football, tennis, padel, handball, swimming, volleyball, skating, yoga or modern dance, among others. All our students participate in swimming lessons and our swimming pool is the venue for a Federation swimming gala.
To complete our students’ physical education, over the academic year our students participate in various sporting events organised both by our own school and by the NACE Schools group. These events, including the NACE Olympic games, charity runs and Sports Day, promote healthy competition and offer a chance for our students to meet pupils from other schools and other countries whilst sharing a passion for sport.
Highly recommended for healthy living!
“I have been at the school for 3 years and I have a really good time. I like the playground because there are two football fields and I play my favourite sport with my friends. The children are really nice and they are nice to me. The teachers are really nice and they always help us. They listen to us and give us advice. I’m happy that I go to this school because I learn a lot of English and also music. The playground is really cool because there are basketball courts, football fields, tennis and padel courts. We have a swimming pool and a big hall.”
